The main topics of discussion during the summit this year are, amongst others, Accommodation, Transport and Mobility & Leisure Products and Activities. The presentation will be held by Johann Durand, International Blue Flag Acting Director, one of 23 official speakers.
Titled, ‘The Blue Flag programme – promoting accessibility for all at beaches and in marinas’, the talk will be held between 15:45 – 17:15 on October 1. We will address how accessibility is promoted within all of Blue Flag’s criteria, for beaches, marinas and sustainable boating tourism operators. The fair schedule and the topics of the 80 selected conferences can be found here.
This is the first time that Blue Flag will attend the World Summit on Accessible Tourism, but the last conference, held in Montreal in 2014, was a huge success. 360 participants from over 30 countries shared their expertise and experiences and adopted the declaration “A World for Everyone”.
You may register to attend the summit until the 26th of September, online, or on site on October 1-2. We hope to see you at this year’s World Summit on Accessible Tourism.
