The Blue Flag programme is seeking an experienced project coordinator who is fluent in English to assume the full-time position of “Blue Flag – Total Beach Access Project coordinator” at its international Head Office in Copenhagen potentially from 1st April 2019 (date flexible)

The “Blue Flag and Total Beach Access project coordinator” is a new position within the Blue Flag Programme.
The Blue Flag and Total Beach Access project coordinator will be responsible for the overall administration, communication and supervision of the new Blue Flag and Total Beach Access partnership and other duties/responsibilities related to the Blue Flag Programme. This partnership will enhance accessibility on all Blue Flag beaches by providing sponsored walkways and amphibious wheelchairs throughout the network. The Blue Flag and Total Beach Access project coordinator will be in direct contact with the National Blue Flag Operators in order to help them in the administration and development of the project in each country. She/he will also be in direct contact with Total Beach Access, as the link between the National Operators and Total Beach Access.
The Blue Flag -Total Beach Access project coordinator will answer directly to the International Blue Flag Director. Note that this is not a managerial position.
Requisite skills, knowledge, and abilities:
· Graduate or professional degree in Business management, Project management, or a related field.
· 5 years’ of increasing experience and responsibility in a relevant business/or programme coordination setting.
· Demonstrated business skills and current knowledge of business strategies, project management.
· Proven successful experience in all aspects of project/programme management including reporting, content development and following budgets
· Demonstrated ability to interact with a broad range of constituencies, public and private sectors.
· Excellent English writing and oral presentation skills.
· Innovative and able to develop and lead the partnership within the strategic directions set by the International Blue Flag Director.
· Capable of working within a diverse international NGO landscape and solution-based approaches
· Self-motivated, able to show independence, initiatives, and to meet strict deadlines
· A sound knowledge of PR and communications in social media

For the right candidate, we offer an exciting position in which you will be part of an inspiring team and atmosphere, working with a positive-change programme in an international context. Salary is dependent on previous experience and there will be international travels connected with the role. Sustainable tourism related 6-month internship at the Foundation for Environmental Education
The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is looking for an intern that would like to work with our tourism-related environmental programmes Blue Flag and Green Key for at least 6 months from 1 April – 30 September 2019 (exact dates can be flexible). The main areas of work will be communication and PR as well as tasks related to the dissemination of best practices of the two programmes.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Communication and PR
Development of PR materials for the Blue Flag and Green Key programme (e.g. online brochures, info-graphics, animated videos) supervised by FEE’s Communication Officer
Composing of news articles for website and social media
Development of newsletters
Social Media maintenance
2. Support in the applicant evaluation
Assisting in the evaluation of Green Key applicants and re-applicants
Assisting in the evaluation of Blue Flag applicants
3. Managing the dissemination of best practices of the Blue Flag and Green Key programmes
Maintaining and extending the best-practice databases of the two programmes
Maintaining, extending and developing material for the Green Key online resource centre
Communicating with the FEE member organisations and other international partners to gather information and materials for the best practice databases of the two programmes
4. Administrative tasks
Taking care of ad hoc administrative tasks such as database maintenance, response to general requests, taking care of the post
Other office-related tasks
Terms and conditions
Unpaid internship for a duration of a minimum of six months. The successful applicant will be provided with a work space at the FEE Head Office in Copenhagen, Denmark
The successful applicant will be responsible for own accommodation and transport between home and FEE Head Office
The intern is entitled to one round trip to his/her home country paid by FEE (economy ticket) if the intern is living abroad when starting the internship
The intern has to inform FEE about existing holiday plans in the internship period during the interview. Holidays during the internship have to be confirmed by the intern’s supervisors and should be announced 2 weeks in advance.
English is the official language at FEE Head Office
The applicant has to be an EU citizen or has to have a valid EU work permit before starting the internship
Required skills and experience
Fluent in written and spoken English
The applicant should have a background or work experience in sustainable tourism, sustainable development or other sustainability-related fields of work
Precise and organised way of working
Proficient user of Microsoft Office package
Experience with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, preferably beyond the private level
Experience with design programmes such as Adobe software
Capability of working in a team as well as independently
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
