After South Africa, Terry continued its journey to India in January and February 2020. The launch of Terry’s journey was done during the Blue Flag assessment workshop conducted by the beach managers in Rushikonda in the state of Andhra Pradesh on the East coast of India. The main theme of this journey was waste management.
Terry assisted to specific cleaning activities on the beaches which included picking up and sorting out the waste. Terry also assisted to litter prevention campaigns targeting the tourists on the beaches in the states of Odhisha and Gujarat, respectively located on the East and West coast of India.
Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Terry’s journey has been slowed down and like everyone else, Terry has to stay home until further notice to keep oneself and its beloved ones safe.
