Blue Flag collaborates with organisations on areas of shared interest and expertise that support the implementation and development of the programme.

These collaborations can facilitate knowledge exchange, strengthen specific areas of programme implementation and support initiatives related to environmental education, accessibility and responsible management.

Partnership and collaboration are also reflected in SDG 17, which recognises the importance of partnerships in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.

Wheelmap.org

Wheelmap.org is an online map developed by the German nonprofit organisation Sozialhelden e.V. that provides information about the wheelchair accessibility of public places.

Through the collaboration between Sozialhelden and Blue Flag, Blue Flag sites can be identified on Wheelmap, enabling users to access available information about wheelchair accessibility at individual locations.

The collaboration supports greater visibility of accessibility information and is relevant to areas addressed by SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Guiness World Record

Guinness World Records documents and verifies record achievements internationally.

Blue Flag has collaborated with Guinness World Records through an initiative recognising the international reach of the Blue Flag programme.
